Plymouth Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley says his side’s 1-0 win at Peterborough United was their “best performance of this season”.
The Pilgrims beat League One’s in-form team thanks to Bim Pepple’s goal midway through the first half.
The victory moved Argyle up to 14th place in the table – six points off the play-off places and three points above the relegation zone.
“Best performance of this season, there’s no doubt about that,” Cleverley said.
“Start to finish, in and out of possession, we managed moments, we created chances, we limited them to chances.
“I put a little bit on the game before, so it was a character test. This is a good marker for where we’re at.
“I was excited about the game and the guys absolutely came up with the goods. That’s the standard we’ve set now.
“I can’t expect to be at that maximum like we were every week but we can’t fall too far under that now – we’ve set a good marker down.”
