Marc Valentine: NY UAP
Stream
Marc Valentine kick starts the new year in fine style with his new single NY UAP. It’s another classic three minute blast of uplifting power pop from his forthcoming album that is guaranteed to lift your mood as soon as you hear it.
With two solo albums already behind him as well a relentless touring schedule across the UK, Europe and the USA over the past couple of years, our very own bastion of the glam-infused power pop anthem Marc Valentine is currently on a truly inspirational streak. And with the announcement of his third solo album due out in April, Marc has already released one single from it back in December 2025 entitled You Are The Jet. Now Marc releases his second single from the album, NY UAP.
NY UAP opens with a majestic swirl of brightly illuminated keys before it ignites into a joyful explosion of fuzzed-up power pop which is guaranteed to bring you out of your darkest mood. And as Marc sings “I chained my heart to a radio station, going coast to coast like a sonic mutation” he explains the inspiration behind the song as follows, “NY UAP’ is basically an allegory for life on the road. The inspiration for the song came while touring the US east coast, which happened to coincide with the infamous New Jersey UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) sightings. I was wondering if they had an equivalent to rock’n’roll in their existence… and maybe they were on the ultimate inter-dimensional tour.” Perhaps only time will tell…
Marc’s new album, Uncommon Side Effects, is scheduled for release on Friday 10th April on Little Steven’s Wicked Cool Records and will be available in vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. The album is produced by Dave Draper (Michael Monroe, Professionals). Also worthy of note is the fact that the video for NY UAP is directed by renowned filmmaker Danny Garcia.

A Plea From Louder Than War
Louder Than War is run by a small but dedicated independent team, and we rely on the small amount of money we generate to keep the site running smoothly. Any money we do get is not lining the pockets of oligarchs or mad-cap billionaires dictating what our journalists are allowed to think and write, or hungry shareholders. We know times are tough, and we want to continue bringing you news on the most interesting releases, the latest gigs and anything else that tickles our fancy. We are not driven by profit, just pure enthusiasm for a scene that each and every one of us is passionate about.
To us, music and culture are eveything, without them, our very souls shrivel and die. We do not charge artists for the exposure we give them and to many, what we do is absolutely vital. Subscribing to one of our paid tiers takes just a minute, and each sign-up makes a huge impact, helping to keep the flame of independent music burning! Please click the button below to help.
