Saturday 6th June is the date set for another promising all day event in Bedford for Ceremony 6. Twelve bands playing on the two stages inside the popular Esquires venue have recently been announced and, yet again, feature names that are either already favourites among many or are about to become favourites.
It may not be happening for another few months but the Ceremony (6) all day event that takes place inside Bedfords’ wonderful Esquires venue has just announced a selection of bands worthy of a day trip to see individually, let alone all together on one (sunny) day.
Saturday 6th June is the date for your diaries that begins with the electronic dance duo Your Mate’s Ex and continues non stop until the final saxophone honk or clank of a cowbell by post punk favourites Deadletter.
In between all of this will be Lemonsuckr, quite possibly one of the finest bands one can go to see in 2026 and a band that will be on many people’s favourites list before the end of this year. Little Grandad may actually have released something by the time this event comes around but early indications indicate these will also be worth seeing if their recent BBC 6 Music session is anything to go by. Enjoyable Listens make a welcome return to a day that wouldn’t be Ceremony without their inclusion and then we’ll have some noise to clear our ears from Belfast’s Makeshift Art Bar who made a big impression when seen a year or so ago by anyone fortunate to have witnessed any one of the many Great Escape shows down in Brighton last May. Canned Pineapple will bring a smile to anyone’s face as will Disgusting Sisters whose fiery pop will capture anyone’s attention in earshot. Home Counties will provide some foot tapping entertainment as will Bugbear, Teethin and Glasgows’ Tanzana who have all been busy playing shows around the UK recently.
With the day ending early enough for those travelling in from central London to get home, this is yet another event to add to our diaries alongside other annual events some of us simply cannot avoid being part of during the year.

A Plea From Louder Than War
Louder Than War is run by a small but dedicated independent team, and we rely on the small amount of money we generate to keep the site running smoothly. Any money we do get is not lining the pockets of oligarchs or mad-cap billionaires dictating what our journalists are allowed to think and write, or hungry shareholders. We know times are tough, and we want to continue bringing you news on the most interesting releases, the latest gigs and anything else that tickles our fancy. We are not driven by profit, just pure enthusiasm for a scene that each and every one of us is passionate about.
To us, music and culture are eveything, without them, our very souls shrivel and die. We do not charge artists for the exposure we give them and to many, what we do is absolutely vital. Subscribing to one of our paid tiers takes just a minute, and each sign-up makes a huge impact, helping to keep the flame of independent music burning! Please click the button below to help.
