A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman in her 70s was left injured.Eugene Pope, 23, of Harwell Street, in Plymouth, was charged with attempted murder, assault by beating, possession of a bladed/pointed article in a public place and possession of cannabis.Police were called at about 09:20 GMT on Friday to reports that a woman had been assaulted near Hastings Terrace.
