Broken Lungs follow-up last year’s Funeral Envy single with No Remedy.

Birmingham hardcore punks Broken Lungs return screaming with No Remedy, a blistering new single that distills everything the band does best into three-minutes-twenty-five-seconds of pure, unapologetic rage. Relentless from the opening hit, the track barrels forward with serrated riffs, pit-ready rhythms and a venomous vocal performance that refuses to let up.

Lyrically, No Remedy cuts deeper than simple fury. It confronts the pettiness of grudges, the self-destruction of revenge, and the hollow narcissism of schadenfreude, hammering home a brutal truth: someone else’s misery will never fix your own. It’s confrontational without being preachy, delivered with the kind of conviction that only comes from lived experience.

Since forming in 2018, Broken Lungs have earned their reputation on stages across the UK, sharing bills with heavy hitters like ’68, Palm Reader, Ithaca, Coilguns, and Graphic Nature. No Remedy sounds like a band fully aware of that momentum — confident, focused, and ferocious.

No Remedy is Broken Lungs at their most direct and devastating. No filler. No mercy. No remedy.

A Plea From Louder Than War

Louder Than War is run by a small but dedicated independent team, and we rely on the small amount of money we generate to keep the site running smoothly. Any money we do get is not lining the pockets of oligarchs or mad-cap billionaires dictating what our journalists are allowed to think and write, or hungry shareholders. We know times are tough, and we want to continue bringing you news on the most interesting releases, the latest gigs and anything else that tickles our fancy. We are not driven by profit, just pure enthusiasm for a scene that each and every one of us is passionate about.

To us, music and culture are eveything, without them, our very souls shrivel and die. We do not charge artists for the exposure we give them and to many, what we do is absolutely vital. Subscribing to one of our paid tiers takes just a minute, and each sign-up makes a huge impact, helping to keep the flame of independent music burning! Please click the button below to help.
