Truro City manager John Askey says his side can survive in the National League after their 1-0 win over Yeovil Town.
The Tinners are still bottom of the table, but the victory cut the gap between the Cornish side and safety to just three points.
Having lost five league games in succession Truro have won two of their past three, but face tricky trips to Forest Green Rovers and Southend United in the next week.
However, with home games against Tamworth, Brackley Town and Scunthorpe United to come before the end of the month Askey is hopeful his side can stay in touch if they can maintain their good home form.
“The main thing is we got three points,” he told BBC Radio Cornwall.
“It doesn’t matter how we play, as long as we’re picking up points, and that gets us up again in amongst it a little bit.
“If we can be in and around it come the end of January then it gives us a great chance to survive and stay in the league, where we want to be.
“Full credit to the team that after going to York, and it’s a long trip, and getting beat 4-0 – to come back here and get the three points again, it shows great spirit amongst the players, and that spirit hopefully will be enough to make sure we survive.”
