Drivers are being advised to “be gentle” on the roads as the South of England braces for the impact of Storm Goretti.
Edmund King, president of the Basingstoke-based AA, gave guidance to motorists as the Met Office issued a yellow warning for snow in some areas.
The snow warning is from 17:00 GMT on Thursday until 00:00 on Friday, with parts of Oxfordshire and west Berkshire likely to be hit.
Strong winds are also expected for southern parts of Hampshire and Dorset.
