A dog rescue charity has finished a redevelopment which it said would allow it to help more animals.
St Francis Dogs Home in Newquay, Cornwall, now has 10 new kennels and two isolation rooms which centre manager Beverly Dobson said would complement the fostering programme.
She said there would be an open day on Saturday 17 January to celebrate the rebuilt kennels to help raise funds and recruit more volunteers and foster carers.
The charity currently has 24 dogs in its care and has homed 216 dogs over the past three years, she added, and the expanded facilities would allow it to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home more dogs.
