Fire crews battle blaze in Devon barley fields

Fire crews are battling a large blaze in barley fields in Devon.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to the fire at Kennford at about 14:40 BST.

It said six fire engines were at the scene and about eight to 10 acres of land had been damaged.

The fire service added: “We are working closely with farmers to create fire breaks to prevent escalation.”
