The spa was found filled to the brim with other rubbish including a toilet near Toller Porcorum

The sight of a hot tub dumped at the side of a main road near a village by fly-tippers has “stunned” the chairman of a parish council chairman.

Neil Farmer, chairman of Toller Porcorum Parish Council in Dorset, came across the large spa filled with rubbish rather than bubbling water on the A356 near Toller Porcorum during a dog walk.

He said as reached the end of a footpath: “I was surprised to see a hot tub facing me across the road. As I got closer I saw that it had a toilet system inside it and all sorts of detritus.”

Farmer said he had reported the “eyesore” and urged anyone that knows who might have been responsible to get in touch with Dorset Council.

Farmer said he was “just stunned” at the unusual discovery, “it’s the height of laziness”.

He added people need to make checks to ensure they only use licensed waste carriers for their unwanted items.

A waste carrier’s licence has to be granted from the Environment Agency.

Dorset Council has been approached for comment.
