Traumatic life experiences have given me an overwhelming desire to seek justice for all women; to help them discover their worth and find their voice. That is why I have mentored women for 28 years, and been a Psychotherapist for 20. Women’s conference represents that same opportunity; for women to be seen, to matter, to have value. To have a voice. That is why I will support Women’s Conference as a 2-day event, hybrid, so that it is accessible to all, and campaign for policies that have justice for women at their very core.
I have been a Labour member since 2012, and a proud member of Unite and PCU, and have served my CLP in many roles including Political Education Officer, Media and Communications Officer, Trade Union Rep and Branch Secretary. I have attended National and Women’s conference on numerous occasions as delegate and staffer and have experience as a Party staffer.
I am proud to have the support of the Centre Left Grassroots Alliance and Momentum.

So many issues that face us today as a country have a profound effect on women in particular: insufficient mental health care and adult social care, a benefit system that leaves many in poverty, the lack of good quality, affordable housing, and the casualisation of the workforce and the eroding of the rights of workers. The Women’s Conference is an important opportunity for all Labour women to discuss these and other critical voices. I will work to ensure that women from across Labour have their voices heard, especially those that have been historically marginalised – intersectional feminism is key to a successful party.
I am a trade unionist, and am the Equalities Officer in my workplace branch of Unite. I’m also Women’s Officer in Ely and East Cambridgeshire CLP. I sit on my local parish council where I chair the personnel, finance and governance committee, and since my appointment to this role, we have joined the White Ribbon Pledge and become a Disability Confident Employer.

Labour Women’s voices must be heard and acted on. I’ll work for engagement of the National Women’s Committee (NWC) with Women’s Branches and Forums, to hear their views, needs and successes, so that NWC’s activities and recommendations to the Party are informed by them. I’ll seek website information on setting up Women’s Branches, and the establishment of more Regional Women’s Committees.
On the Women’s Conference Arrangements Committee seven years (Vice-Chair for two), I’m committed to a two-day, hybrid, democratic, diverse, accessible, networking Women’s Conference where women speak passionately for policies based in their life experiences. NWC oversees the Conference; if elected I’ll continue the struggle for this.
I’ll be available to women members.

I am the National Chair of the Socialist Health Association, a Labour affiliate, having previously served as Vice Chair and London Branch Secretary and led on areas of policy development such as maternity care. I have held CLP and ward officer positions and been CLP and SHA delegate to Labour Party Women’s and Annual Conference.
I am committed to reinstatement of a publicly provided national health service. Women remain disadvantaged in many areas of society, from work and pensions to healthcare. Mothers, babies and families continue to be failed and let down by a broken system which doesn’t listen to women. If elected, I would work to highlight these causes and promote policies that address root causes of these problems through intersectoral approaches. This would include advocating for a stand-alone 2-day Women’s Conference so that these issues can be properly debated by the thousands of brilliant women in the Labour movement. I will endeavour to represent the grassroots of our Labour movement and be accountable and transparent to members.
I’m proud to be supported by the Centre-Left Grassroots Alliance (CLGA). Please also support Zoe Allan (L1393044), Jean Crocker (L1306356), Liz Martin (L1193050), Caoimhe Ni Dhonaill (L1964420) and Sandra Wyman (L1640558).

I joined the Party in 2015 and have been a delegate to National Women’s Conference, a CLP Rep on the National Policy Forum, Chair of my Unite Community branch, served on the Unite Wales Labour Liaison Committee, have had several roles within my CLP (Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe in Wales) including Acting Secretary, Policy Officer and am now its Political Education Officer.
As an intersectional feminist and a disabled woman myself, I believe in achieving equality by means of socialism. Women and the most vulnerable in society shouldn’t be the victims of austerity politics, but we are too often at the sharp end of belt-tightening policies.
Our voices are habitually ignored, making spaces such as National Women’s Conference essential. It must return to being a two day, standalone event and if elected, I would work with others to fulfil this again. I would also use the platform to campaign for wealth taxes rather than austerity 2.0 and for our Party to uphold international law.
I am proud to be supported by the Centre Left Grassroots Alliance and Welsh Labour Grassroots.

I prioritise inclusiveness and intersectionality. I am pleased to have been involved in researching the language and training needs of migrant women in Leeds and in work on domestic violence, representing Leeds LEA on Leeds Inter Agency Project and as initiator of NUT policy carried forward by others when I had to take ill health retirement.
Having attended both two/day zoom and one-day in person Womens Conferences I would strongly support the return to a two day Conference preferably in hybrid format allowing more women to participate.
