A new logistics warehouse proposed for a site near a major road is set to bring 180 full-time jobs, according to those behind the plans.
A spokesperson for PMK Consult said the development of a 107,600 sq ft (10,000 sq m) last-stage parcel hub at the Chiverton Cross junction near the A30 was “a significant investment in Cornwall’s future”.
It said the new development would add £10.8m to Cornwall’s economy each year and provide about £155,000 annually to Cornwall Council in business rates, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.
People were invited to share their views on the proposals via a dedicated website from Friday until 4 December.
A PMK Consult spokesperson said the warehouse would support Cornwall’s “growing demand for logistics and distribution services”.
“A logistics warehouse at Chiverton Cross will create jobs, boost local supply chains and support the county’s growing logistics and e-commerce sectors,” they said.
They said the site had been identified as an accessible and strategically places due to its proximity to the A30 and A390.
A drop-in event to learn more about the plans was due to be held at Truro City Football Club, Threemilestone, on 18 November from 16:00 GMT until 19:00.
