South West Water (SWW) has joined forces with a charity to help military veterans tackle money worries this winter.
The company will attend armed forces hubs across Cornwall, run by the Veterans Regroup project, for free monthly sessions offering confidential advice on debt, health and finding work, to support veterans, serving personnel and their families.
SWW has been part of the project since 2023, offering help with bills, water meters and special tariffs for those who need extra water for medical reasons.
It also provides support for customers facing sudden hardships like bereavement or job loss. Veterans Regroup said SWW “greatly enhance the support we can offer at the hubs”.
SWW said December and the months after it “can bring huge emotional and financial pressures, but the work of this amazing charity helps to ease the burden for armed forces employees, their families, and veterans”.
