The organisers of a spoof of the prestigious Turner Prize art award have confirmed this year’s finalists.

The competition celebrates the most ridiculous or rubbish piece of art using the least amount of effort possible and gets entries from all over the world.

The winner of the 27th competition will get a turnip impaled on a rusty 6 inch nail.

Judging will take place on December 2 at The New Inn in Wedmore, Somerset.

This year organisers also auctioned off the chance to be a judge to raise money for charity.

The spoof prize was first given out in 1999 in response to Tracey Emin’s My Bed, which was shortlisted for the Turner Prize that year.
