A Wiltshire MP has slammed the government’s proposal to revoke planning consent for a road tunnel near Stonehenge, reports the Salisbury Journal. The controversial scheme was given planning permission in 2023 but was scrapped last year.

The search is on for a new developer for Brimscombe Port – the planned 150 home canal-side development in Stroud, according to Stroud News and Journal. The previous developer withdrew from the project earlier this year.

And the future of a Somerset music festival hangs in the balance after a “clerical error” left the venue unavailable, SomersetLive reports.
