Plymouth Argyle boss Tom Cleverley says he has spoken to the English Football League’s referees’ chief about decisions given against his side.
Cleverley was left upset at the penalty for Bradford City which sealed the Bantams’ 1-0 win at Home Park on Saturday.
He felt there had not been enough contact by defender Julio Pleguezuelo on Stephen Humphrys to justify a foul being given.
Cleverley says he has spoken with Mike Jones about the decision, as well as a number of other incidents he has been unhappy with in recent weeks.
“I don’t want to reveal too much detail on that conversation,” Cleverley told BBC Radio Devon.
“But he saw some of what I’ve seen over the last few weeks and it’s been made aware of amongst the referees.
“They’ll always referee the game objectively, as they should, but I think it’s important I defend our team and our club for some of the decisions we’ve been on the wrong end of recently.”
