Torquay United manager Paul Wotton says his side’s 2-1 loss at home to Tonbridge Angels was a “wasted opportunity”.
The defeat saw the Gulls slip to third place in National League South as their opponents moved up to 16th place.
Tom Leahy gave the Kent side an eighth-minute lead before Ricky Korboa doubled the tally shortly before the half-hour mark.
Louis Dennis got what proved to be a consolation goal deep in second-half stoppage time as Torquay’s five-game winning run in the league came to an end.
“I think it’s a wasted opportunity,” Wotton told BBC Radio Devon.
“We didn’t have perfect chances, I think we had two or three good chances.
“I just felt we lacked a bit of quality in our final decision-making. Our final ball, it wasn’t great.
“I don’t think anyone put a marker down in the first 10 minutes, I don’t think there was a big header, I don’t think there was a tackle.
“It’s frustrating, hugely frustrating, and we just didn’t do what we’ve been doing.”
