Citizen springs through Exeter letterboxes

People in Exeter will be able to catch up on all the latest news from the City Council as the Spring 2025 edition drops through letterboxes.

The latest edition will be delivered by the Royal Mail from Monday 10 March.

Jammed full with news, information and features – the Spring 2025 edition ushers in the new shoots of the season, with a ‘Things to do in Exeter’ feature, with lots of tips for days out in the city and further afield.

There’s also news on how people can tap into the latest group exercise sessions at Exeter Leisure Centres, and a fabulous feature on teenage running sensation Innes Fitgerald, who trains at the City Council run track at Exeter Arena.

The latest edition looks at how the creation of a new green space at Northbrook Park is progressing as the spring flowers start to appear.

This month’s front page is all about how Exeter is bidding to create a new unitary authority under plans for devolution and local government reorganisation. There’s also news on the latest group of community groups who have been successful in winning crucial City Grant funding from the Council.

The winners of the City Council’s tree photography competition are unveiled along with their winning submissions, and there’s a feature on how young engineers from Exeter College are gaining valuable experience through an engineering project in the city.

As ever, there’s the handy Your Councillors page with all the information on how to contact City Councillors in every ward, recycling information and news about what’s on at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, Exeter Corn Exchange, as well as the latest from Exeter City of Literature.

Look out for the Citizen as it pops through letter boxes throughout the city during the week commencing 10 March. Once finished with the Citizen can be placed in green wheelie bins and recycled along with other household items
