Exeter community building and GP surgery works to begin

Construction work for a community building and GP surgery is set to get under way as part of a Devon housing development.

Devon County Council said building would start on Monday as part of the South West Exeter site – also known as Haldon Reach – which would include 2,500 homes once completed.

The plans for the double-storey community building include a hall, studio, meeting rooms, kitchen and a multi-use foyer, the council said.

It added the GP surgery would be built in two phases with six consulting rooms in the first stage.

Along with the buildings, situated near the Matford Brook Academy, the site will have 29 parking bays including disabled spaces and electric vehicle charging points.
