Words Fail
Out today
You will remember Gemma Rogers for her recent No Future EP and further back her My Idea Of Fun anthem for rum-drinkers from 2022. But this time she’s serious and this standalone track released today has all profits going to the Heal Palestine charity.
It’s a strange and wonderful song: starting off sounding like Lily Allen backed by Portishead and ending up an orchestral EuroPop anthem.
Here’s the PR in full.
Much like the majority of the sane world – Gemma Rogers has been shook and devastated by global events – the lack of humanity in our world leaders is sickening.
Voices are now cycled and recycled throughout our news cycles and social spaces – the lines of truth and fiction gone from sight. Abhorrent acts are now everyday facts in sound and vision.
People remain, art remains and songs remain. Together we are stronger.
Gemma paused her sessions for LP #2 and wrote ‘WORDS FAIL’.
‘WORDS FAIL’ holds a mirror to the tragedy that unfolds every day on our planet.
As a bandcamp only exclusive release – Gemma is donating all proceeds from bandcamp sales to the charity – HEAL Palestine. Health. Education. Aid. Leadership.
The funds from the pay what you want/can system will go straight to where they are needed most.
“Stay watching, Say nothing, One voice is burning as it’s screaming “freedom”
