Guess Who’s Coming to Salem?

You’ve watched him dismantle progressives and talking heads on CNN. You’ve wondered what he could do to top those performances. And now … you have the answer. Scott Jennings will soon launch his own show on Salem Radio Network, starting in less than two weeks:

FIRST IN PLAYBOOK — Scott Jennings is launching a new daily radio show, “The Scott Jennings Show,” with Salem Media Group. The show kicks off on July 14 and will air weekdays from 2-3 p.m.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Scott a couple of weeks ago while filling in for Hugh Hewitt, and the man is going to be a natural at the mic. He’s certainly a counter-puncher, a valuable and perhaps even life-saving skill for his nightly gladiatorial combats on CNN panels. Scott is also a deep thinker, someone who come girded for battle in every forum.

But there’s something more about Scott, too. He’s not a bomb-thrower, he’s not a name-caller, and he’s not someone inclined to go out on a limb for a bad argument. Scott has tenacity and courage, but also wisdom and a cheerful, positive approach that absolutely will play marvelously in the one-hour radio and podcast formats here at Salem Media (our parent company). Scott does his homework, and because he does that, he offers insight, positivity, and merciless rebuttals to the craziness around him.

That comes across in every 4-on-1 he endures on CNN. In celebration of Scott joining our ranks, I’ve collected some of the better clips this week from his own feed as well as others:

(I’d just add a note to point out that work requirements for welfare came from Republicans in the Contract With America in 1994. Bill Clinton was smart enough to triangulate on that point to take credit for it, however. Democrats don’t seem to be that smart these days.)

As my friend and colleague Matt Vespa put it this morning:

So, for those reluctant to give CNN a ratings boost—and we don’t blame you—please tune into SRN to hear Mr. Jennings take a katana to the liberal narratives, some of which he doesn’t have an opportunity to do because he gets interrupted by his co-panelists when they know he’s about to obliterate their talking points.

Scott will still contribute to CNN, so we’re not taking him away from the fight. Instead, we’re making the smartest talk-radio network even smarter and on point by adding Scott to an already outstanding lineup. I look forward to listening to Scott’s opportunity to speak at length on all these issues — and I suspect we will all think that one hour isn’t enough for his wisdom.

Scott himself sounds rarin’ to take the fight to the opposition:

“We’re going on offense,” Jennings said. “Every day, I’ll take calls, interview big names, and take the fight directly to the liberal machine. It’s time to bust the narratives and bring back some plain old common sense.”

“Scott Jennings is a disruptor,” said Phil Boyce, Senior VP at Salem. “He’s the Lone Ranger of the CNN panel, armed with facts and fearless in delivery. He doesn’t just survive in hostile territory — he dominates. Now, with a national platform on Salem, Scott becomes a daily fixture in the battle to save the country.”

A former White House Special Assistant to President George W. Bush and veteran of four presidential campaigns, Jennings is a strategic insider with real-world political firepower. His upcoming book, “A Revolution of Common Sense: How Donald Trump Stormed Washington and Fought for Western Civilization,” is set to be released this November and is already generating buzz for its insider perspective on Trump’s return to power.

These days, it feels like we’re going from strength to strength, and I for one am not at all tired of the winning. Tune in starting on July 14, 2-3 pm ET!
