Kendal Calling returns to Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District this summer. Befitting its 20th anniversary celebration, it boasts a line up that oozes party atmosphere and good vibes among an eclectic cast of performers.
For those arriving on Thursday, Sophie Ellis Bextor sets the party mood, before Kaiser Chiefs bring proceedings to a hopefully not too riotous close. Friday sees northern indie favourites Courteeners headline with support from The Wombats among others. Saturday brings a real party spirit as Fatboy Slim headlines, while Scottish legends Travis are sure to bring a feelgood atmosphere to their performances. The Prodigy will no doubt bring Sunday night to a close with a bang, and they’ve got great support from The Last Dinner Party and Frank Turner.
Elsewhere over the weekend, Skindred bring their explosive live act and there are northern indie guitar sounds from Lottery Winners and The K’s. Corinne Bailey Rae‘s jazz tinged sounds offer something a little different while Inspiral Carpets and Lindisfarne roll back the years with some distant nostalgia.
There’s comedy from Jason Manford and others, with performances from over a hundred performers and a range of genres across over 10 stages in this beautiful Lake District setting.
Tickets are sold out but more information about the event is here.
