List of candidates published ahead of Exeter local elections 2025

The list of candidates standing in Exeter for the local elections on Thursday 1 May has now been published. 

Voters will be electing representatives for the Devon County Council and in Exeter City Council by-elections. Full details of all those standing are available to view online: 

Polling stations will be open across the city from 7am to 10pm on election day. 

People will need to be on the electoral register to vote in the elections. There’s still time for people to get themselves on the register – the last date for registration is Friday 11 April.  

It’s very simple to register to vote. Just go to the Electoral Commission website https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
