A 20-year-old man from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of rape, police say.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Gibbon Lane at about 06:25 BST on Thursday. They said officers were supporting a woman after reports of a sexual assault.
Police cordons were put in place at different locations, and one remains in place at Gibbon Lane.
Officers were carrying out inquiries in the area and appealing for witnesses.
