Chris: Rangers will have to give Barry Ferguson time to make up for Philippe Clement’s huge mistakes. Yes, Rangers have turned a small corner by overturning Fenerbahce and then beating Celtic, but there’s still a long way to go. I would give him a transfer window at least – in my eyes he deserves the time. The last results and being a bluenose helps.
Pete: After the fine performance against Celtic and getting into the last eight of the Europa League, give the job to Ferguson and his team, who have instilled passion, fire and belief into this group of players which was lacking under both Michael Beale and Clement. Nico Raskin was magnificent and full marks to John Souttar and ‘Tav’ [James Tavernier]. Buzzing!
Ross: Where’s this been all year?! Best performance domestically this year (apart from the New Year game) and [Hamza] Igamane comes out with a brilliant goal to cap it off. Raskin was superb, but the defending still looks a bit patchy in places. Just hope Barry keeps the manager job for next year.
Frazer: Great game to watch. Ferguson has definitely lit the fire that was missing. However there were three managers in the Rangers dugout, the entire coaching staff barking orders for the full 90 minutes, demanding a passionate performance. I would like to give Ferguson and co the chance next season, but regardless, let’s enjoy them while they’re here!
Anonymous: Brilliant from Barry the beginner against Brendan [Rodgers] the ‘unbeatable’. The midfield have gone up a notch and Igamane has added a few million to his price. Superb and well done Souttar too.
Robert: I can only use one word: brilliant, the whole team. If Ferguson carries on like this they don’t need to look for a manager – he’s there.
Martin: Absolutely fantastic week. So happy for Barry and his team. I would give him the job, but let’s see what happens. Three good goals and a good team performance, but we stood off them too much in the second half, which caused the problems. We should know that was going to happen, but well done guys.
