Steve Salvin takes interim charge of Exeter Chiefs women

Salvin joined Exeter in November 2021 and was part of the set-up that saw the Chiefs reach back-to-back top flight finals in 2022 and 2023.

He has previously held coaching roles at Rotherham Titans and Leeds Carnegie’s academy as well as being performance pathway manager at Worcester Warriors’ academy.

“I am very grateful and excited to be given this opportunity to try and continue the incredible work that Susie Appleby has done over the past five years,” Salvin said.

“Some wonderful foundations have been laid, and I feel very fortunate to be the person to try and build on that in conjunction with Oli and Keith.

“We have some fantastic developments in place with a new facility and a more daytime-based programme and the squad is taking shape nicely.

“It seems a long way off at the moment, but I can’t wait to be back at Sandy Park hearing our super fans cheering for the team.”
