The Met Office has brought forward a yellow thunderstorm warning for Devon and Cornwall which could lead to flooding and disruption.
The warning had originally been issued from 18:00 BST on Friday, but has been brought forward to 14:00 and continues until 18:00 on Saturday.
It said there could be travel disruption, flooded homes and businesses and “a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads”.
The Met Office added there was also a chance of lightning strikes which could cause delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
